Project Description
TASC has obtained permission to install a piece of art at RDU International Airport in the International Baggage Claim area of Terminal C. The size of the artwork must be 12' x 5'6". The intent of this public art project is to celebrate the mission of the Sister Cities organizations and to highlight to all passing passengers the increasingly global role and responsibilities of the people living in the Triangle area.
Artist Eligibility
This project is open to artists and design teams living in the 13 counties which make up the Triangle Region: Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Harnett, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Orange, Person, Vance, Wake, and Warren.

Selection Process
The primary criteria for selection will be previous artistic accomplishments as demonstrated in images submitted to the selection panel. Design team experience and the preliminary statement describing the artist's approach will also be considered. Once the final design has been selected the artist will be issued a contract to complete the artwork. The total construction budget is expected to be approximately $30,000 - $50,000 including expenses for construction, transport, insurance, and installation.
