CVA's 2009 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition soon to be displayed
CVA invites you to view ten works of art in our 2009 show soon to be on display at the Cary, North Carolina Town Hall Campus located at 316 N. Academy located in the heart of downtown Cary. This opportunity for established and emerging artists to show sculpture in Cary’s art-friendly environment provides art buyers reassurance that an expert in the field of sculpture selected this work for craftsmanship and merit.
It’s an honor to have Linda Johnson Dougherty, Chief Curator & Curator of Contemporary Art for the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, as this year's juror.
The winner of the $5,000 grand prizewinner will be announced during the Town of Cary's Lazy Daze festival. In addition to the grand prize, all artists who have installed their work for this exhibition will receive a $1,000 honorarium to offset transportation and incidental expenses. All works are for sale.
We hope we have made the information you seek about the show, the artists and their artwork available to you on this website. Please contact us if you have further questions or comments.
Cary Visual Art, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to bring inspiring art to Cary through public art projects and education programs, established this sculpture event in cooperation with the Town of Cary, NC and support from the United Arts Council.
