Walnut Street Park Dedication with artist Barbara Grygutis

Barbara Grygutis, of Tucson, AZ, is creating a pedestrian promenade for the Town of Cary's newest park, at the northwest corner of Walnut Street and Lawrence Road.  For the Walnut Street Park Grygutis has envisioned an "Imaginary Garden," a complex woven design in native brick.  Originating at the parking lot on Lawrence Road, the artist's walkway will blossom into a plaza near the intersection of Lawrence and Walnut.   The park is currently under construction, and the artist will be on-site to create "Imaginary Garden" in spring 2009.
